  • I like it here and most times I pass into New York after travelling/working I stop by for some homemade food. Obviously they can’t cook it individually for each person that would take forever, so they display it and heat once the order is placed. Prayer room as well is helpful. Nice food and relaxed atmosphere MA

  • The staff here is always polite and helpful. They package the meals meticulously. I always order a Marsala tea. It tastes just like you were in Lahore. I do like mine a little spicer so when I get home I add additional flavor. I usually buy the lunch size and I buy four or five depending on my work schedule. But if I have one or two left over in three days I freeze them. They are just as tasty. I buy a roti for each meal. This time I realized they added to their sweet selections. It’s a huge variety for a small shop. You usually can tell how good a place is by its clientele. Many Pakistani drivers use this place for a tea or meal break. You can’t miss finding Kashmir9 because of all the taxis parked outside. Service is fast and the range of vegetarian dishes is around 8 or more. I love the cauliflower dish with rice, a dish with tofu, one with spinach and I love the chick pea dish as much as the cauliflower one. I had been out of the country for a while but when I walked in it was like yesterday. A big hello, where have you been and what would you like. The price is right. 4 lunches, roti, tea were 36 dollars plus I give a tip. It’s a great way to have a meatless meal substitute or just a change of pace in different flavors from Pakistan. If you are from Lahore, you would feel quite at home. This BRIT always feels at home. Even the rice is good- not over cooked.

  • Happy they’re back! Their Chana masala is so good, hard to find someone to make it well. Lentils were cooked perfectly. Goat curry is always tender and always flavorful. Their chicken biryani is ok, needs more flavor. Veggie samosas are delicious. Naan is definitely made right, best crust. Aloo paratha is always on point. Tandoori chicken was ok, but very salty. This place is always good and reliable, a bit oily but I don’t have any issues after eating.

  • I went there for Baklava. And for $4 I got the best deal. They sell variety of biriyani and curry on the counter. The chai was amazing. Most people order their food in Hindi and Urdu I guess. I will be back soon to have biriyani.
